Some people build houses. Chad Keeler builds the parts of a home you touch every day — the kitchen island where your kids do homework, the bathroom vanity you reach for each morning, the bookshelves that hold your life's collection.
There's a particular satisfaction in working with wood. It's alive in a way that other materials aren't — it has grain and warmth and memory. Chad Keeler understood this before he could articulate it, growing up in a family where the workshop was as familiar as the living room. His grandfather built furniture. His father built homes. Chad chose the space between: the custom work that transforms a structure into something personal.
"My grandfather used to say that you can tell someone's character by how they finish the inside of a drawer," Chad recalls. "Nobody sees it. But you know it's there. That's the standard I hold myself to."
"We hired Chad for our kitchen, but what he really built was the place where our family comes together every evening. It's the heart of our home now."— Sarah & Mark Thompson, Powell, Ohio

Starting Keeler Carpentry in 2004 wasn't a leap of faith — it was an inevitability. After apprenticing with a master cabinetmaker in Columbus, Chad knew he wanted to build something of his own. Not just furniture or cabinets, but a reputation. A name that homeowners in Delaware County would pass along to their neighbors.
Two decades later, that's exactly what happened. Most of Chad's work comes through referrals — a neighbor admires a kitchen renovation, asks who did the work, and the cycle continues. No flashy advertising. No sales pitches. Just quality work that speaks for itself.
Where rough lumber becomes something remarkable. Every piece is milled, fitted, and finished by hand in our Delaware workshop.
SawStop table saws and Festool track saws ensure every cut is measured twice, cut once — with perfect accuracy.

"Chad didn't just build us a kitchen — he listened to how we cook, how we entertain, how we live. The result is a space that works exactly the way we do."— The Henderson Family, Delaware, Ohio
In an age of mass production, choosing custom carpentry is a statement. It says you value quality over convenience, permanence over trends, and craftsmanship over cost-cutting.
Every project Chad takes on begins the same way: with listening. What does your morning routine look like? How does your family use the space? What frustrates you about your current setup? The answers to these questions shape the design more than any Pinterest board ever could.
Because at the end of the day, custom carpentry isn't about wood and nails. It's about how a space makes you feel.
Every project begins with a conversation. Tell us about your space, your vision, and your timeline.
